Vinachem Accompanies the Art Program “He Is Ho Chi Minh” Celebrating the 135th Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

The Central Commission for Communication and Education and the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization directed the organization of the special art program “He Is Ho Chi Minh” on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025). The program will take place at 8:10 p.m. on May 18, 2025, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), and will be broadcast live on VTV1, with wide rebroadcasting on central and local television channels as well as digital platforms. This is an event of special political and cultural significance, jointly implemented by Vietnam Television, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Command of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Force, Netmedia Joint Stock Company, and relevant agencies. The program aims to widely communicate and educate today’s generations about President Ho Chi Minh’s great contributions, ideological legacy, moral example, and leadership style in the nation’s revolutionary cause.

“He Is Ho Chi Minh” is elaborately staged with artistic performances and moving stories that vividly portray the image of the great leader, national liberation hero, and outstanding cultural figure. Through performances combining dance, drama, and music, the program conveys Ho Chi Minh Thought, ethics, and style to officials, Party members, and the public, especially young people. Through this, it contributes to strengthening the great national unity and inspiring aspirations for dedication and national development in accordance with his example.

The program is structured into three thematic segments that retrace the life journey and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. These segments correspond to key stages of his life: from “Nguyen Sinh Cung – Nguyen Tat Thanh”, representing his formative years shaped by traditional Vietnamese values; to “Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh”, focusing on his engagement with global ideas, the founding of the Communist Party, and leadership of the revolutionary movement, and finally “Vietnam! An Era of Aspiration”, affirming his historic role in leading the nation toward independence, freedom, and happiness. According to the organizers, the program uniquely combines historical footage, theatrical staging, and contemporary music. The large-scale production and use of archival materials are expected to create powerful highlights, moments of deep pride, and strong inspiration for millions of viewers.

The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 and across numerous national and local television channels. With its rich historical content and strong educational value, the event is expected to attract widespread public attention nationwide. Emotional and authentic performances, combined with modern musical elements, are anticipated to broadly spread patriotism and the spirit of aspiration, inspiring people of all generations, especially the youth.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), will attend the program as an honorary guest. Alongside the event, Vinachem is one of the program’s sponsors. The Group’s support reflects its commitment to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural values associated with President Ho.

On May 10 and 11, 2025, Vinachem organized a series of activities in preparation for the important May 19 anniversary. A highlight was the launch of the initiative “Greening and Digital Transformation of the Chemical Industry”, held in connection with President Ho’s birthday. This long-term campaign demonstrates Vinachem’s commitment to applying modern technologies, protecting the environment, and improving productivity within the chemical sector — aligned with the Party’s sustainable development orientation. At the same time, Vinachem introduced its consumer product portfolio and the Vinachemmart e-commerce platform, affirming its manufacturing capacity and focus on better serving domestic demand.

Notably, Vinachem organized the photo exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh and the Chemical Industry – Memories and Trust” at the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area.

The exhibition showcases valuable archival images documenting five visits by President Ho to predecessor units of Vinachem’s member companies, linking revolutionary history with the traditions of the chemical industry. Cultural activities such as Vinachem’s product exhibition booths and the promotional walking program “Vinachem Steps Forward 2025 – Pioneering the Green Transformation of the Chemical Industry” attracted strong participation from employees and Hanoi residents alike. Through these activities, Vinachem affirmed its role as a key sponsor and spread the message of “community responsibility and action for a greener environment” during the celebration of President Ho’s birthday.

Vietnam’s Chemical Industry – An Industrial Foundation and a Path Toward Modernization

The Vietnam National Chemical Group has emphasized the close relationship between Ho Chi Minh’s legacy and the country’s current industrialization and modernization efforts. As General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng has stated, “continuing to advance industrialization and modernization is an objective and inevitable requirement in the new context.” Vietnam’s chemical industry holds a foundational position, playing a critical role in national production supply chains and energy security. The mission of Vinachem and the sector as a whole is to proactively pursue strategic goals: transforming growth models, applying modern science and technology, improving production efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness in support of national industrialization and modernization.

Vinachem remains firmly committed to sustainable development, contributing to the construction of a green industrial sector while fulfilling the role of a state-owned enterprise aligned with national interests. This commitment reflects the proactive spirit of a major economic group—actively innovating, protecting the environment, and preserving revolutionary traditions, including the tradition of productive labor and nation-building.

Ho Chi Minh Thought as a Driving Force for Development

Ho Chi Minh Thought has always served as a guiding foundation for Vietnam’s revolutionary movement and industrial development. President Ho Chi Minh emphasized the noble role of creative labor and intellectuals in national construction, stating that “intellectuals must be able to engage in manual labor, while workers and farmers must possess cultural and educational knowledge.” This perspective encourages continuous learning and creativity, while promoting the integration of technical knowledge with practical production. Vinachem honors these teachings by promoting movements for skilled and innovative labor throughout the industry, while actively investing in science, technology, and workforce development –putting into practice the principle of “harnessing science and technology as a new fundamental productive force,” – a concept deeply rooted in Vietnam’s industrialization path.

Guided by this spirit, Vinachem continues to advance innovation and international integration, positioning digital transformation and green development as strategic priorities. Vinachem’s concrete contributions during the commemoration of President Ho’s birthday –from organizing ceremonies and exhibitions to launching green industrial communication campaigns – demonstrate the political responsibility and revolutionary ethics of a state-owned enterprise. In alignment with Ho Chi Minh’s teachings and the Party’s direction, Vinachem not only maintains a strong economic foundation but also continues to lead the green, high-tech development of Vietnam’s chemical industry, worthy of its historic mission in the cause of national construction and defense.
